Suede calf leather
Suede leather is a full-grain leather obtained from the "flesh" side of the hide: the part on the inside, under the hide.

This hard-wearing calf leather is light and soft, with a velvety feel. It is recommended and appreciated for our softly shaped bags, as its fall enhances their design.

Smooth leather
Smooth leather is obtained in the tannery by sanding the face of the hide to be tanned. Smooth leather generally has a very fine, almost invisible grain. Also known as "nappa", this term covers smooth leathers that are distinguished by their unvarnished, uncoated appearance. To the touch, nappa leather is very supple and delicate.

Suede calf leather
We recommend brushing your suede calf article gently to restore its fluffy side, then re-waterproofing 2 or 3 times a year. Avoid prolonged exposure to light.

Smooth leather
Gently apply a spray (we recommend La Fée du Logis) using a microfiber or a clean, dry cloth. Gently massage the product into the leather. If the corners of your bag are more worn, choose a shoe polish pigmented to the color of your leather, then polish with a microfiber cloth. Please contact us if you have any questions.
